A² Tiger Wood Hollow Climbing Tree
Bring the look of twisted, weathered woodland into your jumping spider’s enclosure with the A² Tiger Wood Hollow Climbing Tree.
Designed around an irregular hollow trunk, sweeping branches, natural-looking climbing surfaces, and a projecting perch, the Tiger Wood Hollow Climbing Tree creates an eye-catching centerpiece while giving your spider multiple areas to climb, perch, explore, and retreat.
Each tree is 3D printed using AMOLEN Tigerwood Wood PLA, a wood-style PLA filament that AMOLEN describes as incorporating real wood fibers. The naturally rich brown coloration and wood-like character of the filament are intentionally left visible rather than being covered with paint.
Unlike our hand-painted Gnarlwood pieces, the Tiger Wood tree is not sanded or painted. This allows the original Tigerwood filament color, texture, and printed surface detail to remain part of the finished appearance.
After printing, each tree is sealed with Minwax Polycrylic Crystal Clear Protective Finish in Satin, providing a protective topcoat while maintaining a more natural, low-sheen appearance.
Designed for Jumping Spider Enclosures
The Tiger Wood Hollow Climbing Tree is designed primarily as a naturalistic climbing and décor feature for jumping spider enclosures.
Its structure includes:
A large, irregular hollow trunk opening
Multiple branching climbing routes
A projecting platform/perching area
Textured trunk and root surfaces
Additional openings and recesses throughout the tree
A broad rooted base for a natural deadwood appearance
The combination of vertical trunk, branching limbs, hollows, and horizontal surfaces helps add usable structure throughout the enclosure rather than serving only as decoration.
Materials & Finish
AMOLEN PLA Wood – Tigerwood
1.75 mm wood PLA filament
Natural Tigerwood filament color
No paint added
Not sanded, preserving the original printed wood texture
Sealed with Minwax Polycrylic Crystal Clear Satin
Individually printed and finished by A² Creepy Crawly Co.
AMOLEN's manufacturer information identifies the Tigerwood material as a wood PLA and describes it as containing real wood fibers.
Size
Rounded-up overall dimensions:
101 × 83 × 128 mm
Approximately 4.0 × 3.27 × 5.04 inches
Because enclosure sizes vary, we recommend measuring the intended placement area before ordering to ensure comfortable clearance around the tree and adequate room for your spider to move throughout the enclosure.
Please Note
Each Tiger Wood Hollow Climbing Tree is individually 3D printed. Minor variations in surface appearance are a normal part of the manufacturing process and the wood-style filament itself.
Because this version is intentionally left unpainted and unsanded, the visible printed texture is part of the product's finished appearance rather than being concealed beneath additional finishing layers.
For cleaning, gently wipe or spot-clean as needed. Avoid prolonged soaking and harsh chemicals.
PLA Heat Disclaimer:
This product is made from PLA-based filament. PLA can soften or deform when exposed to high temperatures. Keep away from heat lamps, ceramic heat emitters, heating elements, direct contact with heat mats, hot vehicle interiors, and prolonged direct sunlight. Use only in enclosures where temperatures remain within normal ambient ranges and where the item is not exposed to concentrated heat. Inspect regularly for warping, softening, or other heat-related damage, and discontinue use if deformation occurs.
